EnBW has hired Bill White to serve as managing director of EnBW’s North American operation. Most recently, White served as Senior Director of Offshore Wind Sector Development at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, where he led Massachusetts’ efforts on the identification of offshore wind areas through collaborative stakeholder engagement, as well as transmission planning, environmental surveys, metocean data collection, supply chain, and workforce development initiatives related to offshore wind.
Additionally, White led the construction of the New Bedford Marine Commerce Terminal, the first facility in the United States designed for the staging, assembly and deployment of offshore wind projects.
Previously, White served in the White House as a Special Assistant to the President in the Clinton Administration and worked at the U.S. Department of State. He also served as Assistant Secretary at the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs. White is a graduate of Boston College’s School of Management (B.S.) and Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government (MPA).
