Fugro has announced the opening of its new geotechnical testing laboratory in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The new lab will increase Fugro’s capability to deliver geotechnical testing for the offshore wind market, and the energy and infrastructure sectors.The laboratory will be accredited in accordance with the Taiwan Accreditation Foundation (TAF)’s ISO 17892 standard. In 2020, Fugro IOVTEC was established as a joint venture with the IOVTEC Co., Ltd to support Fugro’s business expansion in Taiwan’s developing offshore wind market. Fugro now has three testing laboratories in the Asia Pacific region, including Australia, Singapore, and Taiwan.
