Gurit reports 42.6% decline in materials sales to wind energy customers

Gurit’s sales to the wind energy industry in 2013 suffered heavily from the delayed tax credit renewal in the USA at the beginning of the year, but also from the ongoing low demand for glass fiber prepreg in Europe.

 

Sales to the wind energy market were also impacted by the postponement of deliveries into Q1, 2014. Full year sales to the wind energy industry was CHF 117,411,000 compared to CHF 204,590,000 in 2012, a decrease of 42,6%.
