Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) has entered into a partnership with Hokutaku, a Japanese wind turbine maintenance company. They have disclosed an agreement to establish a capital alliance, with MOL acquiring a majority of the outstanding shares of Hokutaku.
Hokutaku, founded in 1999, is the largest independent maintenance company in Japan within the wind power generation industry. Not affiliated with a specific manufacturer or power producer, it boasts an extensive customer base and currently services around 80% of the approximately 2,600 wind turbines in Japan.
