NaiKun Wind Energy Group Inc. has announced the appointment of Philip Hughes as Chair of its Board of Directors, effective October 1, 2009, and the retirement of Michael C. Burns, current Board Chair, effective September 30, 2009.

Over the course of his career, Philip Hughes has served as President and CEO of five energy companies across Canada.
During the quarter ended June 30, 2009, NaiKun Wind incurred a net loss of CAN$ 2.68 million (CAN$ 0.07 net loss per share), compared to a net loss of CAN$ 4.53 million (CAN$ 0.12 net loss per share) for the same period in 2008. At June 30, 2009, NaiKun Wind had CAN$ 16.14 million in cash and cash equivalents, compared to CAN$ 19.52 million at the end of March 2009.
