Gamesa’s Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Jorge Calvet as the Company’s Executive Chairman. Mr. Calvet will substitute Mr. Guillermo Ulacia, who has resigned for personal reasons.

Mr. Calvet joined Gamesa’s Board of Directors in October 2005 as an independent Board member. In 2007, he was appointed Vice Chairman of the Corporation. Additionally, he has been President of the Audit and Compliance Committee. Mr. Calvet has a degree in Law and in Business Administration (ICADE). Additionally, he completed his education at the NYU Stern School of Management, where he obtained his MBA specializing in Finance. His professional background is primarily in investment banking in New York, London and Madrid.
