According to preliminary calculations, the Nordex Group increased revenues by more than 250% to some € 125 million (Q1/2005: € 35 million) in the first quarter of 2006.
At the same time, order receipts rose to € 263 million (Q1/2005: € 35 million). More than 80% of new business comes from abroad. This means that the order backlog as at 31 March 2006 increased significantly year on year to € 387 million (31 March 2005: € 139 million). Moreover, the Group has signed contracts for further orders worth more than € 500 million, sufficient to cover the period until the summer of 2007. For this fiscal year Nordex expects a revenue increase of some 50% to € 460 million (2005: € 309 million) and an EBIT margin of 3.0%.
