Perceptual Robotics has announced a strategic shift, moving beyond inspection services to focus more on supporting the ownership and optimisation of wind energy assets. This vision is underpinned by the appointment of Julian Brown as Board Chair and the launch of the Repair Module, a predictive maintenance tool designed to help owners and operators address critical issues, optimise budgets, and enhance asset performance.
The Repair Module enables full tracking of damage, from initial detection to repair completion, ensuring transparency and control throughout the maintenance lifecycle. A key feature is the Repair Now Ratio (RNR), which prioritises repairs based on urgency and severity, linking these decisions to future costs for smarter resource allocation and long-term optimisation.
Brown’s experience in the renewable energy sector includes leadership roles such as Vice President and UK Country Manager at MHI Vestas Offshore Wind, Chair of Renewable UK, and collaboration with ORE Catapult.
