REpower Systems has signed a contract with EDF EN Canada for the delivery of 175 2MW wind turbines of the REpower MM82 and MM92 type for a 350MW project in Quebec, Canada.
The project, located in the unorganised territories (UT) of Lac Pikauba and of Lac-Ministuk, north of the City of Quebec, will be developed in two phases: Construction of the first 150MW starts in 2013, commissioning is set for December 2014. The second phase of 200MW is scheduled for commissioning in December 2015. The contract is part of the framework agreement of up to 954MW signed between EDF EN and REpower in 2009.
