RES and GES have signed a strategic alliance agreement to provide asset management and O&M services to the offshore wind industry.
Early projects are coming out of initial warranty periods and non-utility investors have begun to take ownership positions in operational projects. The new alliance addresses these changes by creating the resources and capabilities to provide services at scale and safely through one team. Through the alliance, clients can access asset management and O&M services for wind turbines and balance of plants including transmission assets. The alliance will also be able to deliver and/or manage blade inspections and maintenance campaigns, major repairs and retrofits, subsea surveys, condition monitoring and reliability and control room services through a 24/7 control room. RES currently manages 1.3GW and GES maintains over 12GW of operational assets.
