SPIE Global Services Energy has announced the creation of a new business unit focusing on wind power, made possible by the acquisition of the Correll Group.
This acquisition has allowed SPIE Global Services Energy to expand its services in power line termination and the management of submarine high-voltage links for connecting wind farms. It also extends the company’s geographical coverage to include new operations on the East Coast of the United States.
The new unit, led by Gianluca Petraccia, currently employs 160 people. Petraccia began his career as a maintenance engineer in Europe and Africa and joined the Saipem Group in 2013, holding various operational management positions across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Americas, and the Asia-Pacific region.
