Vestas is uniting its Technology organisation (CTO) and Manufacturing & Global Procurement organisation (COO) into one Technology and Operations organisation (CTOO).
The unified CTOO will form the foundation for a company-wide industrial system and will be led by the current Chief Technology Officer, Anders Nielsen. The CTOO will use components from the existing global and regional operating model to minimise operational impact and ensure deliveries and project execution in 2024. The CTOO is expected to be fully implemented during the third quarter of 2024. With Anders Nielsen taking on the role of CTOO, the current COO, Tommy Rahbek Nielsen, has decided to pursue opportunities outside of Vestas after more than 25 years with the company. Tommy will leave Vestas at the end of June 2024, following a handover of his responsibilities. The creation of the CTOO is only expected to affect senior management roles and will not involve any restructuring at the operational level.
