Statoil signed two agreements for the sale of the major part of Statoil’s onshore wind power activities in Norway. The moves enable the group to focus more of its efforts on offshore wind projects.

Statoil, through its subsidiary, signed an agreement for the sale of Statoil’s 50% stake in Sarepta Energi to Trønder Energi Kraft. Another agreement was signed for the sale of wind power projects in Finnmark, comprising Arctic Wind and the Hamnefjell, Båtsfjordfjellet and Snefjord projects, to Finnmark Kraft. The sale is part of Statoil’s strategy to focus on offshore wind energy projects.
