Vestas has inaugurated the blade finish lines for its V236-15.0 MW offshore wind turbine at its Taranto factory in Italy. The opening marks the latest phase of the site's expansion.
The facility has been manufacturing onshore blades since 1998 and now supports both onshore and offshore blade production. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Adolfo Urso, Italy's Minister for Enterprise and Made in Italy, and Henrik Andersen, President and Chief Executive Officer of Vestas.
