Wind Energy America Inc. announced that it has formed a strategic alliance with Boreal Energy, Inc.
Boreal Energy is a Minnesota based company that specialises in owning, operating and developing wind energy production facilities in North America and is seeking to establish a portfolio of wind projects in the USA and actively manage that portfolio. The alliance with Boreal Energy will allow Wind Energy America to make strategic investments in a select group of soon to be announced projects. Under this alliance, Wind Energy America intends to provide funding for fifty per cent of the cost associated with upgrading a strategic Buffalo Ridge substation. In return, Wind Energy America will be allowed to participate in selected Boreal Energy projects at a preferential rate.
