Windvision has acquired Vortex Energy Belgium to further expand its solar and wind energy generation capabilities in the Belgian market to reach 500MW of total capacity. Vortex Energy Belgium is the Belgian subsidiary of the German based Vortex Energy.
Founded in 2017, Vortex Energy Belgium has developed a portfolio of 244 MW onshore wind and 34 MW solar energy projects in 15 locations in Wallonia. The newly combined entity will focus on portfolio development and the proactive sourcing of new growth opportunities. Windvision is expecting to start the construction of its first wind farm in Flanders in Spring 2021.
