US Wind has announced the hiring of Timothy Mack as the company's new Foundation Package and Localization Manager. In his new role, Mack will lead US Wind's efforts to build the steel foundations for the company's Maryland offshore wind project.
Mack joins US Wind from EEW AOS where he most recently served as US Business Development Manager for Offshore Wind. Mack brings 25 years of experience in the steel industry and 14 years of experience in the offshore energy industry to the US Wind team.
US Wind acquired an 80,000-acre federal lease area off of the coast of Maryland in 2014. In 2017, the company was awarded Offshore Renewable Energy Credits (ORECs) from the State of Maryland for the first phase of its MarWin project. In total, the company's lease area can support approximately 1.5GW of offshore wind energy capacity.
