The USA in particular is rethinking its energy mix with an emphasis on environmentally friendly, renewable domestic energy sources. The 20% Wind Energy by 2030 study published by the US Department of Energy (DOE) in 2008 stated that generating 20% of the country’s electricity from wind power is feasible by the year 2030.
