Global Wind Organisation has launched its Annual Report for 2022 entitled ‘Powering a Community of Safety and Training’. Highlights of the report include an impressive 21% growth in the size of the GWO Active Workforce, reaching a total of 149,809 people at year end 2022 (2021: 122,573).

During 2022,104 new training providers were certified, bringing the global network to a total of 517, spread across 51 countries including for the first time in Indonesia, Morocco, Singapore and Vietnam. Growth in training numbers has also come from GWO’s established network of training providers with 153 of these expanding the breadth of the GWO standards portfolio they were certified in. Meanwhile, GWO training, particularly in Asia, North America and South America has been growing faster relative to the rest of the world.
