The Danish Energy Agency publishes report about future offshore wind locations 300 200The consulting firm Cowi has, on behalf of the Danish Energy Agency, carried out a screening of Danish sea areas to investigate the areas' suitability for establishing offshore wind farm in the areas.
 
These are the following areas; North Sea I (south of the upcoming offshore wind farm Thor), originally Hesselø, scaled-down originally Hesselø, the area south of Hesselø, Kriegers Flak II and Kattegat II. The purpose of the screening has been to confirm that it is practically possible to establish offshore wind farms in the specified areas and to provide financial calculations for comparing the locations. Overall, the screening shows that it is possible to establish offshore wind farms in all the screened areas.
