GL Renewables Certification (GL RC) has issued a Statement of Compliance to the wind turbine developer aerodyn for the A-Design Assessment of its 3MW horizontal axis wind turbine design.
aerodyn's Super Compact Drive (SCD) 3MW turbine design will be manufactured by the Chinese company Ming Yang. The turbine's main features are its light weight, compact structure, high performance and cost efficiency, with its integrated SCD drive chain consisting of an independent rotor bearing, a two-stage planetary gear and an intermediate speed generator.
