Huisman has signed a contract with Dajin Heavy Industry for the delivery of four 1,200mt heavy lift pedestal cranes. The cranes will be installed on two new heavy lift transport vessels under construction for Jumbo Maritime, with each vessel equipped with two cranes.
The project marks the introduction of Huisman’s new heavy lift pedestal crane range, which combines the design of a pedestal crane with lifting capacities ranging from 180mt to 1,200mt.
The cranes for the Jumbo Maritime vessels are prepared for the future installation of an additional fly jib, allowing them to be used for a wider range of lifting operations. They feature a fully electric drive system combined with Huisman’s Power Management System.
Key features of the cranes include a 1,200mt capacity at a 25-metre main hoist radius, vertical boom storage and an auxiliary hook for lifting hatch covers. The system also includes an eco mode intended to reduce energy consumption.
