Menck launches new hammer for monopile installation

Menck has introduced the MHU 6000W Wind Hammer, engineered to drive larger piles in challenging environments and install longer piles in deeper waters.

 

The Wind Hammer delivers between 200 kJ and 6,250 kJ of energy to drive monopiles with diameters of up to 9 metres and beyond. Key features include a double-acting hydraulic drive, closed-loop control, shock absorber cartridges, and safety mechanisms. The Wind Hammer can also be equipped with the Menck Noise Reduction Unit (MNRU).
