RE Technologies and Senvion India have launched the 4.2M160 wind turbine generator. The turbine is designed and developed by the in-house research and development teams in India and Germany and manufactured locally in India.
The 4.2M160 turbine has a rotor size of 160 metres and hub heights up to 140 metres. The turbine is based on doubly fed induction generator technology with the 78.5-metre blade specifically designed for low wind conditions. The turbine will be certified under IEC RE OD 501 and is adaptable to the grid code compliance standards in India and other markets. RE Technologies GmbH and Senvion Wind Technology Pvt. Ltd., together with all its affiliates in India, including Senvion India Pvt. Ltd. and Senvion India Wind Power Services LLP (collectively “Senvion India”), have rights over the trademark Senvion in India. Outside India, this trademark belongs to a third party, which is not an affiliate of Senvion India.
