Recently a new developed rotor blade for the 3.5MW turbine of e.n.o. energy systems GmbH came out of production.
The 56 meter, 15-ton blade made of GFRP was transported from Germany to Dutch knowledge center WMC where it will be tested according to GL guidelines. Pontis was responsible for the project management of this one-year blade development project and the scope of the project included support during construction of plugs, moulds and blades and quality control of the manufacturing processes according to Design for Six Sigma methodology (DFSS).
