WakeBlaster is a 3D CFD software developed and offered by ProPlanEn to model wind farm wake losses. WakeBlaster 2.0 has the capability to model atmospheric stratification, based on the Monin-Obukhov similarity theory.
WakeBlaster 2.0 also improves the derivation of a rotor-equivalent wind speed. WakeBlaster 2.0 expands the operational envelope and validation of the model, by improving the representation of observational data for an enhanced range of atmospheric conditions. WakeBlaster is offered as cloud based service.
