Siemens has introduced Leading Edge Protection (LEP), a polymer-based solution that defends offshore turbine rotor blades from erosion.
Leading Edge Protection will be available for new machines and previously installed turbines. The upgrade solution has been tested at Hornsrev offshore wind farm and is currently undergoing final validation and testing for implementation.
