Mingyang Smart Energy has contracted Tüv Nord to certify its MySE18.X-260 offshore wind turbine. The certification, in accordance with the IECRE OD501 standard, encompasses the rotor-nacelle assembly (RNA).
This process includes evaluating the technical documentation, analysing the structural integrity and mechanical systems, and inspecting the electrical systems. Safety aspects of the turbine are also assessed.
Simultaneously, Tüv Nord examines the manufacturing process to ensure that the production of the main components and the final assembly of the hub and nacelle meet the design requirements and are ready for series production.
