X1 Wind has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with mooring line manufacturer FibreMax. X1 Wind’s floating wind solution features passive weathervaning and self-orientation capabilities, achieved through the integration of a Single Point Mooring (SPM) system with a small tension leg platform (TLP) mooring system.The collaboration with FibreMax aims to enhance the performance and sustainability of its mooring configuration by introducing synthetic cables that offer improved strength, durability, low weight, and no creep. Made with circular or recyclable materials, FibreMax cables are expected to further support the floating wind platform’s environmental goals.
