SHIFT 6k, the new ZF Wind Power modular platform design, helps businesses to realise cost-effective turbines. Thanks to modularity, the initial development costs are lower in comparison to a dedicated gearbox design.
The concept allows customers to reduce the number of gearbox developments while offering maximum flexibility in turbine performance upgrades. In addition, the selection of the proper platform variant guarantees an optimisation of the gearbox to site specific loads. The ‘SHIFT’ platform includes pre-designed and validated upgradability, which ensures rapid follow-up on changing market requirements. SHIFT 6k’ is suitable for powering new generation turbines from 4.5MW up to 7MW and rotor diameters of up to 180 meters.
