Acciona and Aveng will build, own and operate a 135MW wind park in South Africa. The project has been selected by the Department of Energy of South Africa in the second round of an international tender for the promotion of renewable energy in the country.

Acciona Energy will take a 51% stake in the project, Aveng 29%, and two social promotion entities from South Africa will contribute the remaining 20%. The Gouda wind park will be built in the municipality of Drakenstein, Western Cape Province (in the west of the country). It will be equipped with 46 3MW Acciona Windpower turbines, totaling 138MW of installed capacity. Construction work will start in 2013 for completion in 2014.
