Allco Wind Energy, a division of Allco Finance Group's Infrastructure division has announced the further expansion of its wind developments and operations globally.
- 3 wind farms in Germany, with a total installed capacity of 60MW, have been acquired from WPD, with the acquisition of a fourth project to be completed later in 2007, taking the overall installed capacity to 64MW. Wind Turbine Generators are supplied by Vestas and Siemens.
- A Framework Agreement has been entered into with JUWI whereby Allco will acquire 8 wind energy projects in Germany and France totalling 48.5MW. The first acquisition of the 6MW Ober Kostenz project in Germany (6.0MW, 3 x Vestas V90 - 2.0MW) has been completed. Wind Turbine Generators are supplied by Vestas and Enercon.
Additionally Allco Wind Energy has commenced construction of the 24MW Alite Wind Farm. Alite the first phase of the build out of Tehachapi, CA, USA and is expected to be operational by October 2007.
