Bluefloat Energy and Sener intend to build a 1.2GW floating offshore wind farm in Spain

The Spanish government has begun a consultation on a 1.2GW floating offshore wind farm (Nordes project) planned to be built by Bluefloat Energy and Sener Energy 30 kilometers off the coast of La Coruna in northwestern Spain.

 

The Nordes project would be built in two stages. The first phase would include 35 15MW turbines. The second phase would include 45 wind turbines with a capacity of 15MW. The consultation is open until March 7th.
