Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis) has acquired the contract for the supply and installation of the export and inter-array cables for the Triton Knoll offshore wind farm (OWF), UK. In September 2017, Boskalis signed the Preferred Supplier Agreement which has now been converted into a firm contract following the project's financial close.
The contract carries a value for Boskalis of approximately EUR 90 million. The project scope includes two 50-kilometer-long export cables and ninety-seven 66kV inter-array cables which will be installed with two own cable laying vessels. The project will be executed by Boskalis Subsea Cables & Flexibles in consortium with NKT and is scheduled to be carried out in 2020. Triton Knoll OWF is being developed by Innogy Renewables UK Ltd (59%) and partners J-Power (25%) and Kansai Electric Power (16%) and is located 32 kilometers off the coast of Lincolnshire and 50 kilometers off the coast of north Norfolk.
