Brookfield Asset Management (BAM), alongside Brookfield Renewable (Brookfield) and Microsoft, have announced the signing of a global renewable energy framework agreement.
The agreement outlines a pathway for Brookfield to deliver over 10.5GW of new renewable energy capacity between 2026 and 2030 in the USA and Europe. Additionally, it includes provisions for expanding its scope to deliver additional renewable energy capacity within the U.S. and Europe, and potentially extending to Asia-Pacific, India, and Latin America. The agreement grants Microsoft access to a pipeline of new renewable energy capacity, encompassing not only wind and solar but also new or impactful carbon-free energy generation technologies.
