Macquarie Asset Management has agreed to sell a 10% stake in the East Anglia ONE offshore wind farm to NTR. East Anglia ONE, located 43 kilometres off the Suffolk coast, has a capacity of 714 MW.
In 2019, Macquarie Asset Management's Green Investments division acquired a 40% stake in the project. Working alongside ScottishPower Renewables, a subsidiary of Iberdrola, Macquarie supported the project through construction, leading to its operational launch in 2020. After the wind farm became fully operational, Macquarie divested a 20% stake to The Renewables Infrastructure Group in the same year. Following this latest transaction, Macquarie Asset Management will retain a 10% ownership in East Anglia ONE.
