Capital Dynamics and Engie have entered a fifteen-year corporate power purchase agreement with McDonald’s UK for electricity from the Douglas West Extension Wind Farm in Scotland, which is fully owned by Capital Dynamics.
The wind farm is scheduled to start operation in early 2026, and McDonald’s will take all electricity generated through a supply arrangement with Engie. The company plans to share this power with key suppliers as part of wider supply-chain decarbonisation efforts. The 66 MW site will use twelve Nordex N149 turbines and is expected to produce about 190 GWh of electricity each year.
