Clearway Energy Group (Clearway) has announced that it reached commercial operations on Black Rock, a 115 MW wind farm that spans West Virginia’s Grant and Mineral counties, USA.
Black Rock is contracted under long-term power purchase agreements with customers Toyota Motor North America (Toyota) and AEP Energy Partners, a wholly-owned subsidiary of American Electric Power. In 2020, Clearway announced a joint equity transaction with climate investment firm Hannon Armstrong and Clearway Energy for a 1.6GW portfolio that includes Black Rock.
