Copenhagen Energy has submitted a third offshore wind project proposal in Australia to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water for initial assessment under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act.
The 3GW Samphire Offshore Wind Farm, planned for Commonwealth waters north of Perth and offshore from Lancelin and Two Rocks has been released by Federal authorities for public comment. The 3GW Samphire offshore wind farm will comprise up to 200 turbines and six substations. The project is the company’s third proposed offshore wind project for Western Australia. Copenhagen Energy aims to start construction of the project in 2029.
