London Marine Consultants (LMC) is contracted as Principal Designer for Hexicon’s TwinHub project after securing the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) contract. The project is developed by Hexicon and supported by Bechtel.
LMC specialise in marine engineering design and provision of mooring systems. LMC will work with a team of carefully selected specialist contractors including Sowento, Ryder Geotechnical, DNV, and Proeon Systems. The offshore site investigation works with geophysical surveys has just commenced and the results of the final project will be used to progress the FEED for the project. The project will see the deployment of Hexicon’s TwinWind technology. The TwinHub Floating Offshore Wind Farm site is located 16km off the coast of Hayle in Cornwall, in the Celtic Sea, United Kingdom. The project was awarded a Contract for Difference in July’s auction round.
