CRP Subsea, part of AIS, has been awarded a contract by Seaway7 to supply cable protection systems for ScottishPower Renewables' East Anglia TWO offshore wind project in the North Sea.
Under the contract, CRP Subsea will deliver 142 NjordGuard cable protection systems to protect inter-array cables at each wind turbine location. The systems are designed to protect cables from over-bending, abrasion and fatigue during installation and throughout their operational life.
The company will provide three NjordGuard cable protection system designs tailored to the project's monopile and J-tube interface requirements.
East Anglia TWO forms part of the wider East Anglia Hub, which also includes East Anglia ONE North and East Anglia THREE. Located 46 km off the coast of Lowestoft, the project will comprise up to 64 wind turbines across an area of 218 km² and is planned to have a generation capacity of up to 960 MW.
