Wolf Theiss has advised DTEK Renewables International B.V. (DRI) on the refinancing of a 60 MW wind farm in Ruginoasa, Iaşi County, Romania. The transaction closed on 28 August 2026.

The refinancing involves a €50.6 million senior construction bridge facility, arranged and provided by Kommunalkredit Austria as sole lender to Moldova Eolian.

DRI is a subsidiary of DTEK Group and focuses on renewable energy and battery storage projects across Central, Eastern and Southern Europe. The company has developed a portfolio of onshore wind, solar and battery storage assets in Romania, Italy, Poland and Croatia. In Romania, it currently operates four renewable energy projects, comprising three solar parks and one wind farm.

A multidisciplinary Wolf Theiss team covering banking and finance and energy advised DRI on the Romanian and English law aspects of the refinancing. The work included the negotiation and execution of the senior facility agreement and related finance documentation, security arrangements and local law implementation matters.
