EDF Energies Nouvelles (EDF EN) has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the Stoneray wind project which has 100 MW in capacity, via its North American subsidiary, EDF Renewable Energy.
The Stoneray wind project is located in Pipestone and Murray, counties in southwest Minnesota. The facility consists of up to 50 turbines. Its construction should start at the beginning of 2018 with commissioning scheduled for winter 2018-2019. The wind project benefits from a long term PPA with the Southern Minnesota Municipal Power Agency (SMMPA).
