Epsiline has delivered its first lidar YawAdvisor in Japan. The lidar was successfully installed on a Alstom-GE wind turbine in Kawazu wind farm on the south coast of Japan, owned by Eurus Energy.
Epsiline has also delivered a Lidar YawAdvisor to PR China. Installation on a Goldwind wind turbine in the region of Ningxia will be undertaken soon. Epsiline provides the wind energy industry with a solution for wind velocity and directional measurements, in front of the wind turbines, avoiding disruptive wind turbulence in the traditional measurement zone behind the blades. In contrast to conventional LiDARs, the nacelle-mounted LiDAR measures directly in front of the hub, thus reducing uncertainty caused by complex sites or turbulence effects from neighbouring wind turbines.
