Parkwind and MHI Vestas have confirmed the completion of the first turbine at Northwester 2 in Belgium, off Jan de Nul’s Vole au vent vessel. The 219MW project will consist of 23 V164.9-5MW turbines to spin 50 km off the coast of Ostend in Belgium.All major turbine components have been assembled and pre-commissioned in the Flushing (Vlissingen, The Netherlands) marshalling harbour with the first four turbines leaving a few days ago. Northwester 2 expect the turbine installation campaign completion during the first quarter of 2020.
