Flylogix has secured a contract in the offshore renewable energy sector to carry out digital aerial surveys for the proposed Moray FLOW-Park in northern Scotland. The agreement with Offshore Solutions Group covers the use of drones to survey and map wildlife in the Moray Firth area.
The Moray FLOW-Park project is intended to provide temporary wet storage for floating offshore wind foundations to support turbine assembly, integration and deployment activities.
As part of the work, Flylogix will carry out a trial drone flight from Cruden Bay to collect environmental data for Offshore Solutions Group’s Environmental Impact Assessment submission to NatureScot.
The contract will run until the end of 2026 and is expected to be followed by a larger survey programme covering the facility over a two-year period.
