Føn Energy Services Poland has signed a long-term operations and maintenance contract with Baltic Power for its offshore wind farm in Poland. The agreement includes extension options and covers integrated Balance of Plant operations and maintenance services for the project's subsea infrastructure.
The contract covers all subsea assets, including foundations and inter-array cables, and includes inspection and corrective maintenance services. Føn Energy Services will provide project management, planning, vessel chartering and management, logistics, engineering and procurement, supported by local Polish suppliers. The scope also includes environmental surveys to monitor marine growth and marine animal activity within the wind farm area.
Baltic Power is a joint venture between Orlen and Northland Power. The offshore wind farm will comprise 76 turbines, each rated at 15 MW, giving the project a total installed capacity of 1,140 MW. Once operational, it is expected to generate around 4 TWh of electricity annually, enough to meet approximately 3% of Poland's electricity demand.
