Fugro has secured a multiyear framework agreement with the German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) to carry out geotechnical site investigations in the German North Sea. The data, supported by laboratory testing, will be made available to future offshore wind developers for use during the tendering and development phases.
The scope of work includes data acquisition using geotechnical drilling vessels and vessels equipped for seabed Cone Penetration Testing (CPT). It also includes laboratory testing at Fugro facilities in Germany, Belgium and the UK. The programme will be delivered by Fugro's Marine operations in the Netherlands and Germany. The work is scheduled to start in mid-March 2027. Under the framework agreement, BSH can call off services from the date of the contract award.
