Gamesa has signed an agreement with Consórcio Morrinhos to supply 150MW of capacity in Brazil.
This conglomerate is made up of Atlantic Energias Renováveis S.A. and Casa dos Ventos. The scope of the agreement includes the supply, installation and commissioning of 75 Gamesa G97 2.0MW wind turbines in five 30MW wind farms, which Consórcio Morrinhos is planning to build in the town of Campo Formoso in Bahia state. Gamesa expects to start installing the wind turbines in the second half of 2014 and finish by the first half of 2015. Under the agreement, Gamesa will also handle operations and maintenance at all five wind farms for a period of 15 years.
