Gamesa has announced that enXco has executed a purchase agreement to acquire the Chestnut Flats Wind Farm in Pennsylvania.
The 38MW Chestnut Flats wind farm in Logan Township, northwest of Pennsylvania, features 18 Gamesa G90-2.0MW and one Gamesa G87-2.0MW wind turbines. Full ownership of Chestnut Flats will transfer to enXco, subject to satisfaction of typical closing conditions, which is expected by the end of the 2011. The 38MW Chestnut Flats wind farm is the first of the 518MW being developed and constructed by Gamesa in the USA and scheduled to go commercial by the end of 2012.
